Deena Margolin, LMFT
Psychotherapist, Mindfulness Teacher, and Founder of Growing Garden LA
Born here in Los Angeles, Deena attended Harvard Westlake for high school, then attended Bucknell University where she studied psychology and minored in Italian, graduating magna cum laude. Upon graduating college, Deena worked as a research assistant at UCLA studying mindfulness, anxiety regulation, and the brain. Later, Deena received her Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT) from USC, graduating with highest honors.
In past training experiences, Deena has worked as a school counselor with Counseling Partners of Los Angeles (CPLA), facilitated toddler groups at The Play Group founded by Cassidy Boesch, and supported parent-child groups at the Early Childhood Parenting Center (ECPC).
Deena has also supported workshops and retreats with Dr. Dan Siegel and Jack Kornfield in Los Angeles and New York.
With an interest in research, Deena has been a research assistant in studies at UCLA in mindfulness, at LMU in community health, at Bucknell University in areas of social psychology and digestive psychology, and USC in behavioral health.
Most recently, Deena was interviewed for the docu-series and podcast “Broken Brain” with hosts Dhru Purohit and Dr. Mark Hyman as an expert in childhood trauma resolution.

Remington Rebeil, aMFT
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Remington is extremely passionate about working with children and their families. Her warm demeanor and integrative approach (a blend of art, activities and discussion) creates a welcoming environment for her clients to share their experiences. Using a blend of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness interventions, and a family systems approach, Remington supports the growth of the child both inside and outside of session. She aims to help her clients build awareness around feelings and make conscious, constructive choices about how to take care of these feelings.
Additionally, Remington engages in school-based counseling for elementary and middle school students. Her individualized work with students helps facilitate the critical connection between the student’s mental health and their ability to effectively take advantage of opportunities to learn. Remington also engages in classroom-based interventions. As a speaker, Remington facilitates presentations to various grade levels on topics such as bullying, empathy & kindness, mindfulness, and social skills.
Remington’s knowledge of social skills developed from her role as a research assistant at the UCLA PEERS® Clinic. Under the direction of Dr. Liz Laugeson and her team, Remington was trained as a UCLA PEERS® certified provider. She implements the evidence-based, parent- or caregiver-assisted social skills intervention via group therapy. This intervention focuses on developing and maintaining friendships for adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other social and behavioral disorders.
Remington graduated with Pi Beta Kappa honors, studying Psychology and Communication, from the University of Southern California. As a dedicated Trojan, she then went on to obtain her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (M.M.F.T.) degree from USC. Currently, Remington is supervised by Child Development Specialist and Clinical Supervisor Monica Dessert, LMFT.
Ashley Kim, aMFT
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist
Ashley offers a multidimensional approach to working with children and their families. As a play therapist certified by the Play Therapy Training Institute, she believes in utilizing interventions of play and creativity as the pathway to healing and works with young children, including birth to 5 years old. Additionally, she is trained in several Evidenced-Based modalities such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy. Through a foundation of collaboration and trust, Ashley empowers children and their families, helping them cultivate awareness around their emotions, strengthening interpersonal communication skills, and building coping mechanisms for healthy self-regulation.
In past trainings, Ashley provided school, home, and office-based care. She has conducted social skills and female empowerment groups in elementary and middle schools to assist in the nurture and growth of the student population, and has presented on topics such as mindfulness, conscious parenting, and bullying. Ashley has worked with children and families from a diverse range of racial, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds and has experience treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more.
Ashley offers parenting coaching services and also specializes in working with kids aged zero to five, being a fervent advocate for early intervention and care. She studied Applied Developmental Psychology at her undergraduate studies at UCLA before earning her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (M.M.F.T.) degree from USC to further her study of attachment and early childcare and intervention. Additionally, Ashley worked with Dr. Dan Siegel at his Mindsight Institute as a research intern for his 3rd edition of The Developing Mind, focusing on topics such as the neurobiology of parenting and mindfulness. Currently, Ashley is supervised by Child Development Specialist and Clinical Supervisor Monica Dessert, LMFT.
