It Takes a Village.

Parenting can be hard, and our ancestors didn't do it alone! In fact, they had an entire village of support to help them raise children. I'm happy to be part of  your village!

How Parent Coaching Works.

Since each family is unique, the goals and focus of our sessions will be tailored to your family, but here’s what you can expect:

Step 1: Initial intake session. In this first meeting, we explore important context about your child's development, family history, and parent-child dynamics. By the end of our time, we will have identified goals, core areas of focus for our work together, and initial tools and language to support your child’s growth at home.

Step 2: Strategies for home. In the session following our initial meeting, our time together will include discussions, strategies, and exercises designed to constructively address challenges and create sustainable structure at home. Parents will continue implementing strategies outside of sessions to create change and support growth.

Step 3: Meet as needed. Whether weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, we will continue to assess growth and explore additional strategies to continue creating a sustainable plan for working through challenges.

Sessions vary in length - from 50 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the process - and can be done in-person in my office or through telecommunication, such as Skype or phone.
